I was born in Burbank, Ca and lived there 30 years. My background was in sewing, drawing and oil painting. In 1981 I married my pen pal and moved to Roswell to start a family. I became involved with fiber arts, spinning wool, knitting and pastry cooking. In 1991 I took up pottery as a way to deal with the death of our 5 year old son, Sean. Pottery was a great escape.

While I might produce 'art', in my heart I'm a craftsman. I love to make something from the ground up. For me the pleasure is in taking basic materials and turning them into something delightful. I make my own paper clay & my pottery is low fired with commercial underglazes.
