Konii Carpenter
Artist Konii Carpenter, affectionately known to her many friends and fans in the art world as Konsuela, is a native New Mexican born and raised in Roswell. One of many artists in her family, her teacher/artist parents kept she and her sister Kristi busy in multiple media. Further education at NAU and the Roswell Museum & Art Center fueled her lifelong and now unfolding dream of being an artist.

Enjoying most the process and feel of clay, she considers it her canvas, and has expertly honed her art. She is best known for her dramatic black-and-white Dia de los Muertos “sgraffito” designs.

Her work can be seen in several galleries in New Mexico; in private homes and collections worldwide; and on the Internet.
